Bringing The Art Exhibit Into The Home

Jasmin Tupy, an Art and Communication student, hosted an art show gallery in her Isla Vista home last month featuring several other student artists – to showcase the talents of the college town next to UC Santa Barbara.

Each artist had a dedicated spot for their artwork, which was indicated on a master floor plan that mapped out the entire pop-up gallery. The goal was to emulate an actual art exhibition but in the comfort of an apartment rather than a museum.

Students and Isla Vista residents strolled through to view paintings, crocheted crafts, and other physical forms of artistic expression created by the UCSB student community.
